Beal™

Beal is a family business based in Vienne, in south-eastern France. The company was founded in 1950 by Pierre and Janine Béal. To develop their ropes, they enlisted the help of a mountaineer and guide named Yannick Seigneur. He became Beal's technical advisor and his vision of modern climbing became the core of Beal's development.

In 1976 they developed the first dynamic rope and in 1999 they acquired Edelweiss. Since then, they have developed their ropes and broadened their range and today offer everything from ropes to bags and tool securing.
