Which fall arrest harness should I choose?

  • 2-point harness used for most types of fall protection work, such as scaffolding, roof work and working in lifts. You can easily attach fall arrest blocks and the like to the back or a fall arrest hook to the front to move around easily without risk or to stand secured in a mobile work platform.
  • 4-point harness with positioning loops for mast, pole and wind turbine work, for example. These harnesses have two extra points, on the sides, so you can easily attach yourself if you are working on a mast or similar.
  • 5-point harness (also called Y-harness and H-harness depending on appearance) for work on, for example, steep roofs with support ropes and rope access.

You are always welcome to contact us at Personligt fallskydd if you have any questions! We can answer most of them.

Get training in fall protection

For work at height, all staff must have personal protective equipment that is well adapted to the person using it. From 1 January 2015, the law, AFS 1999:3, requires the use of fall protection where there is a risk of falling and the fall height is more than two metres.

It is also important to know the risks of improper use and how to care for and maintain your equipment. Fall protection users should know how to use, connect and test their equipment before use.

We offer several types of fall protection training, which can be customised to your needs.

Train to be a competent person - fall protection inspection

According to EN 365, all fall protection equipment must undergo an annual inspection, which must be documented. The annual inspection is more extensive than the daily inspection and must be carried out by a competent person. This person should have knowledge of:

  • Usage
  • Laws, rules and standards
  • Products, systems and manuals
  • Risks
  • Inspection
