Personalised winches
Personnel winches are different from ordinary cargo winches. They are usually equipped with an extra braking system for increased safety. It is often not possible to uncouple the winch, so that no mistakes can be made. Most winches have counters to log the use before service. Personalised winches are available in various models and lengths, both with wire and rope.
Things to consider when buying a winch
- Where should the winch be used?
- Stainless steel or galvanised wire?
- Capacity of passenger lift and material lift?
- Should it be possible to operate the winch with a motor/screwdriver?
- Should the winch be used with a davit, tripod or other attachment point?
Wire rope winches are available in lengths between 18m-58m.
Rope winches have no lower or upper limit, but the length of the rope controls.
