Fall protection for hot work

Buy fall protection products for hot work

At Personligt Fallskydd, you can buy fall protection products designed for use in harsh and heat-exposed working environments. By choosing fall protection specifically designed for work in high-temperature conditions, you’ll have a safer solution for jobs where both working at height and exposure to heat are part of the risk profile.

What are hot work operations?

In the heavy metal industry, there are often furnaces and processes that generate very high levels of heat. These may include the smelting and casting of metal or glass, preheating furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, hot rolling mills or drying chambers used, for example, in paper manufacturing.

When working at height whilst carrying out hot work, the right equipment is essential. Heat, sparks and welding spatter can affect the materials and performance of equipment that is not designed for this type of environment. This applies to traditional hot work such as welding, cutting and grinding, but also in environments with high indoor temperatures, such as switchyards, the metal industry, foundries and other industries where staff need to work safely at height near heat sources.

Fall protection harnesses for hot work

We stock, amongst other things, fall protection harnesses for hot work, designed to withstand potential heat damage. These harnesses are often made from hard-wearing, flame-retardant straps, making them suitable for work where sparks or high temperatures may be present. Some harnesses can withstand temperatures of up to 370 °C without compromising flexibility, making them an excellent choice when you need a robust harness for demanding working environments.
