The Rollgliss R550 is the lightest and most compact device on the market and is a unique descender with dual brakes for maximum safety. Intended for evacuation and rescue. The rope, 9.5mm static core sheath rope that is recognised as abrasion resistant, is lowered from either side, causing one hook to go up while the other goes down, allowing for immediate use after lowering. Rollgliss can be used, for example, as an emergency evacuation device when it is vital to get to the ground as quickly as possible. Rollgliss can also be used in many other rescue situations such as repelling down a building and for rescue from wind turbines. Approved for evacuation of 2 persons (282 kg) up to 200 metres and approved for 1 person (140 kg) up to 500 metres. Submersion speed: 0.9 m/sec. Service interval: 5 years. Inspection interval: 1 year.
