Petzl MINDER – Pulley for lift and rescue systems
The Petzl MINDER is a range of high-performance pulleys designed for work at height, rescue operations and the assembly of hoisting systems. The MINDER is specifically designed for use with a Prusik knot, for example in systems where the load needs to be secured whilst being moved.
All models feature rope sheaves mounted on sealed ball bearings for low friction and high efficiency. The special design of the side plates allows a Prusik knot to be used in conjunction with the pulley, whilst also helping to keep the rope correctly positioned.
Which MINDER should I choose?
MINDER is available in four models: S1, S2, L1 and L2. The name describes both the size of the tricycle and whether the model has one or two wheels.
S or L – choose according to load and application
LESS S is the smaller and lighter model. It is designed for ropes between 6 and 11 mm in diameter and has a 25 mm diameter pulley. It is well suited to work at height, emergency response and systems where low weight and a compact design are important. The efficiency is 91 %.
LESS L is larger and designed for intensive use and higher loads. It can handle ropes between 6–13 mm and features a 51 mm diameter sheave. The larger sheaves provide a high efficiency of 97 %, making the L-models particularly suitable for applications such as professional rescue systems and the handling of heavier loads.
1 or 2 – one or two line reels
MINDER S1 and L1 has a reel and is used when the system only requires a replica line through the trissan.
MINDER S2 and L2 has two parallel pulleys and offers greater flexibility when designing advanced lift systems and systems with mechanical gearing. The S2 and L2 also feature an additional mounting point, which provides further options when designing systems.

An easy way to remember:
S = Small – smaller and lighter.
L = Large – larger, higher load capacity and greater efficiency.

2 = two line reels.
