IKAR™ descenders are evacuation or rescue devices, components of personal fall arrest systems (EN 363:2008 rescue systems) and only suitable for rescue purposes. One or more persons can be suspended from a higher place to a lower level at a limited speed. If, in an emergency, it is necessary to lift a person up before the descent, the descent rescue hoist ABS 3a WH shall be used. The ABS 3a WH rescue hoist also has an integrated lifting function with adjustable backstop and is therefore the ideal partner for passive and active rescue of persons suspended in personal fall arrest systems.
