At Height K25 CurlyWirly – twisted aluminium carabiner
The At Height K25 CurlyWirly is a specially designed aluminium carabiner with a body twisted by 53°. The design has been developed to help position a descender correctly when it is attached to a fixed anchor point as part of a tensioned rope system.
53° rotation for correct positioning
In a rescue system, the alignment between the anchor point, the carabiner and the descender can cause the equipment to end up in a less than ideal position. The K25’s twisted design alters the orientation between the two ends of the carabiner, making it possible to position the descender correctly without the need for an additional connecting component.
It is precisely this feature that sets the CurlyWirly apart from a traditionally designed carabiner. At Height describes the K25 as having been developed for attaching descenders to fixed anchor points in tensioned rope systems.
Triple-Action Locking Mechanism
The K25TA features an automatic Triple-Action locking mechanism, which requires three separate movements to open the gate. The gate opening is 22 mm.
The carbine features a Keylock design and is individually serial-numbered for traceability.
For professional rescue systems
The K25 CurlyWirly is, above all, a specialised carabiner for situations where the orientation of the equipment within the system is important. Its twisted design makes it particularly suitable for setting up technical rescue systems involving descenders and fixed anchor points.
