Looking for reliable, high performance earmuffs? 3M™ PELTOR™ X3 Earmuffs are the perfect choice for those who need protection against moderate to high noise levels. With a clear red colour code, it's easy to identify the right level of protection within the X series.

These earmuffs combine advanced technology with superior noise reduction. Thanks to a specially developed interlayer and innovative cushioning technology, the X3 can reduce noise by up to 33 dB without increasing in size or weight. The result is a lightweight, slimline earmuff that also provides maximum protection.

The electrically insulated stainless steel wire headband is designed for durability and effectively reduces heat build-up on the head. Thanks to the flat, wide design and a soft plastic coating, even pressure is achieved, making the earmuffs stable and comfortable for longer periods.

3M™ PELTOR™ X3 are fully dielectric, meaning there is no exposed metal. This makes the hoods extra safe when working with the risk of sparks or electric shock. The wide, soft foam cushioning pads provide a high level of comfort and are interchangeable with available hygiene kits for extended product life.

The earmuffs are compatible with other protective equipment and are also available as helmet-mounted or neckband models. Adjust them easily with the moulded sliders for an optimal fit.

For use with Kask safety helmets you need this adapter.

X3 Red

Weight: 247 g
Damping: 33 dB
Max ambient dB: 118 dB
SNR: 32 dB

What damping do I need?
The maximum permissible sound volume to be exposed to in the workplace is 85 dB.
To calculate the level of attenuation you need on your hearing protectors, do the following:

Noise level in dB - 85 dB = attenuation requirement
E.g. 118 dB - 85 dB = 33 dB which gives X3 or X4.
