MILAN 2.0 POWER for rescue and evacuation. This hub can be manoeuvred with a screwdriver which provides a quick rescue. Screwdrivers should only be used when lifting a person, not when descending. The lifetime can be up to 20 years from the date of manufacture, if serviced after 10 years by an authorised service centre. When stored in a SEAL PAC LIGHT TO GO the device can achieve a lifetime of 15 years, which can be extended to 30 years if serviced after 15 years by an authorised service centre, provided the device has not been used. Devices used regularly, e.g. as training equipment, may have a shorter lifetime. In addition to annual inspection, the device should also be inspected after some use. The recommendation of the manufacturer is:
- Descent distance 3000m with 1 person up to 75kg
- Descent distance 2500m with 1 person up to 100kg
- Descent distance 1000m with 1 or 2 persons up to 150kg
- Descent distance 400m with 1 or 2 persons up to 200kg
- Descent distance 200m with 2 persons up to 260kg
- Descent distance 200m with 2 persons up to 280kg
